Drucilla "Dru" Harvey, 70, of Bridge City, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, in Orange.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009, at First Assembly of God in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Robby Holland. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City.

Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Friday at the church.

Drucilla was born in Kinder, Louisiana on February 5, 1939, the daughter of Burke and Pearl Sonnier Chapman. She lived in Bridge City for 50 years and loved her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Harvey; and son, Michael Harvey.

She is survived by her children, Terry Harvey of Orange, Howard Harvey and his wife Susan of Bridge City, Robert Harvey of Bridge City, Donna Self and her husband Bruce of Orangefield; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Caroline Savant of Kinder, LA.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Chris Harvey, Brent Self, Dave Cooke, Joel Nash, John Harrell, Jackson Roberts and Bubba Stephenson.
