Earl Melvin Richmond

Earl Melvin Richmond, died January 12, 2013 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. A native East Texan, Earl was born the fourth of five sons to Rhedric Mason Richmond and Louise Shaw Richmond on February 5, 1928 in the sawmill town of Manning, TX. He was retired from Gulf/Chevron as a Lab Supervisor.

Survivors include daughter, Krissy of Houston and son, Roger and wife, Brenda, of Austin; grandchildren, Kaylea Deason and husband, Gus, of Beaumont and Jennifer Shortess and husband, Stephen of Baton Rouge and his brother, Clyde Richmond and wife, Ruth, of Beaumont.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye; his parents and brothers, Harrell of Phoenix, Rhedric of Dallas and Milton of Miami.

Graveside service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 15 in the Serenity Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Visitation will be Monday, January 14, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont, TX 77713.
