EddieB Laverene Kemp

EddieB Laverene Kemp, 84, of Orange went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, January 22, 2009.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 25, 2009, at 3:30 p.m. at McDonald Memorial Baptist Church in Orange. Reverend Danny Gilliam will officiate.

Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

EddieB was born October 23, 1924, in Elmer, LA, to Michael Kelroy and Sarah Estelle Smith Carruth.

EddieB was a homemaker and a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class at McDonald Memorial Baptist Church, she was known for her sense of humor, her outgoing personality and her love and compassion for others. She loved to visit and was a loving mother and grandmother always very caring of others.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Iley Kemp, her son, Michael Kemp, and six sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Kemp and wife Patricia and Billy Kemp and wife Sue, all of Orange; grandchildren, Don, Bryan, Ben, Beaux, Logan and Trey; and great grandchildren, Trevor, Dustin, Bryanna, Megan, Cameron and Taylor.

The family wishes to thank Southeast Texas Hospice and the staff at The Meadows for the love and care given to EddieB.
