Edna Stansbury Sanders

Edna Stansbury Sanders, 84, of Orange, died Sunday, May 2, 2010.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 5th, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Randall R. Branch, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church in Orange.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Born in Abbeville, Louisiana on August 18, 1925, Mrs. Sanders was the daughter of Noelie Blanchette and Walter Howard Stansbury.

She was a homemaker, a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and had been a member of TOPS.

Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jefferson Sanders and son, Ken Sanders, Mrs. Sanders is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Jerry Allen of Cypress, Cheryl Earnest of Orange, Terri and Mark Frey of Orange.

Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jennifer Ellestad and her husband, Jason, Jeremy Allen, Mallorie Henning and her husband, Zack, Megan Frey, Madalyn Frey, Drayton Sanders; great grandchildren, Noelie and Eli Ellestad, Zoe Henning; and her brother and sister-in-law, Lyman and Rose Stansbury of Abbeville, Louisiana.

Serving as pallbearers will Doug McDaniels, Jeremy Allen, Zack Henning, Jason Ellestad, David Clary and Wellman Richards.
