Edward Lopez

Eddie Lopez, 54, of China, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010 at his residence.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel officiated by Deacon Harry Davis. Interment will follow at China Cemetery in China, TX. A gathering of family and friends will be on Thursday at 5:00- 9:00 pm with a vigil at 6:00 at the funeral home.

Mr. Lopez was born February 27, 1956 in Beaumont to Johnny and Mary "Cookie" Gonzales Lopez. He was a Structural Designer at Englobal Engineering.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary "Cookie" Gonzales Lopez.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Deborah Cromwell Lopez; father, John E. Lopez, Sr. and wife, Beatrice; daughters, Michelle Colledge and husband Jason and Heather Lopez and fiance, James Giarraputo and his daughter, Sommer; grandchildren, Madison and Hayden Colledge; brothers, John E. Lopez, Jr. and wife, Stella J., and Carl Lopez; sister, Judith Lopez Pete and husband, David and mother-in-law, Naomi Cabe.

I have known Eddie for many years. He was the kind of guy that was always on an even keel. He never complained or had a bad word to say about anyone.
