Memorial services for Ed Barber, 68, of Beaumont, will be held Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel. A gathering of friends and family will begin at 1:00 p.m Saturday prior to the service. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Ed was born October 6, 1940 in Comanche, Texas and passed away October 11, 2008 at Christus Hospital in Beaumont. A resident of Beaumont since 1990, he was a former resident of Edna, Texas. Ed worked in a variety of distributing businesses and retired as owner of Barber Distributing.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Barber of Beaumont; son, Edward Paul "Eddie" Barber, Jr. of Crockett; daughter, Sheila R. Richard of Biloxi; step-son, Ronny D. Beldin of Colorado; two grandchildren, Christopher Kent Moen, Tiler Montgomery Richard; and two step-grandchildren,

Karlee Alice Darby and Sean Taylor Williams.
