Elizabeth Dale Jolly

Elizabeth Dale Redman Jolly, 71, a lifelong resident of Beaumont, passed away June 26, 2009 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Funeral services will be Sunday, June 28, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dale as she was known by her friends graduated from South Park High School in 1955. The reunions held every five years were a highlight in her life. She retired from Entergy Gulf States Utilities Co. in 1995 after 35 ½ years of service. She had worked in Accounting and Records Management. Starting in 1992, she also volunteered at CHRISTUS Hospital St. Elizabeth. She started to work at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in 1997 as a greeter and receptionist. Dale also worked at Claybar Floral for eleven years. Preceding her in death were her parents, Joe B. and Dora Emma Roberts Redman. Surviving Dale are her daughter, Jan and husband, Homer Smith, Jr.; granddaughter, Katie Smith; her sisters and their husbands, Jo Lynne and Vernon LeJeune and Lou Anne and Dennis Letney; nieces and their husbands, Melissa and Jamey Mitchell and Jessica and Eli Patterson; nephews and their wives, Justin and Allison LeJeune and Wesley and Keri Myers. Also surviving are great nieces and nephews, Madison and Jake Mitchell, Emma, Ella and Edie Patterson, Alysse LeJeune and Lucky Myers.

Memorial contributions may be made to the CHRISTUS Hospital St. Elizabeth Volunteer Scholarship Fund, P. O. Box 5405, Beaumont, Texas 77726; St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 4445 Pershing, Beaumont TX 77705 or to a charity of your choice.
