She is survived by her husband, Bill Pugh of Beaumont; two grandchildren, Dean Halbirt and wife, Cara of The Woodlands and Laura Joseph and husband, Jason of Spring; four great-grandchildren, Carol Anne and Patrick Halbirt of The Woodlands and Haley and Avery Joseph of Spring; son-in-law, John P. Halbirt of Houston; sister, Frances Sparks of Beaumont and nephew, Terry Sparks of Tampa, FL.

Friends who wish may direct memorial contributions to Buckner Children and Family Service, 9055 Manion Drive, Beaumont, TX 77706.

"You can't receive the prize until you finish the race." Hebrews 11:39 paraphrase. Because of her deep and abiding faith, Elizabeth has received her prize and has reunited with her daughter, Denda, in Heaven.
