I lost my Daddy in 1973. I met Sonny Carlson in 1973. He was my new Step Dad. We had a very loving "step" relationship from the time we met. When Momma died, Sonny asked me if I would mind if he introduced me as his Daughter. I was so deeply touched that he felt the need for permission to say something that was such an honor to me. I told him, Sonny, I lost my Daddy 43 years ago. Yes, you had better introduce me as your Daughter, cause you have been my Dad for a long time. Two men in my life who were without reproach. My Daddy, and my Dad. Each time we left each other's company, there would be a hug, a kiss, and would always end with him holding my hand or on my shoulder and would say......and I appreciate everything you do for me. I will miss you Sonny......give Mom & Don a smile from me. By the way, you will like my Daddy.
