Eloise "Weise" Thorne

Eloise "Weise" Thorne, 55, of Orange, went home to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at her residence surrounded by those whom she loved and cherished most.

Family will receive friends and loved ones at a special time of remembrance and celebration of life on Friday, February 15th, from 5-9 p.m. at First Church of God in Orange, which will include a memorial service at 7:30 p.m.

Weise was born May 24, 1952, in Cottonport, LA, the daughter of Archie F. and Ophelia Botello Deville.

Weise graduated from LSU in 1975 with a BA in journalism, she worked as a medical transcriber.

Most recently she had worked at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange as a visitation attendant, but will be most remembered and missed for all the joy and smiles she always brought with her.

She was preceded in death by her father Archie Deville and brother Wayne Deville.

She is survived by her husband of almost 17 years, Sid Thorne of Orange, mother, Ophelia Deville, brother, Mark Deville both of Marksville, LA, three nephews and two nieces and beloved cat, Cocoa.

Weise lived a full life and always made it a point to speak a kind word to all those she ever met, her beautiful spirit touched so many lives.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God, 911 Main Ave, Orange, TX, 77630 or Southeast Texas Hospice or Gideons International.
