Emerson Daley Navarre, 73, of Orange died Friday, August 6, 2010, at his home.

Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2010, at Niblett's Bluff Cemetery in Vinton, Louisiana.

Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Evangeline, Louisiana on November 30, 1936, Emerson was the son of John and Elizabeth Shicksnider Navarre.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth; and grandson, John.

Emerson is survived by his wife, Sheila Adams Navarre; sons, Terry and Melvin Navarre; and daughters, Donna Green, Sondra Reynolds, Rhonda Depwe and Nancy Perry.

He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
