Emmett Leander Cobb, Jr.

Emmett Leander Cobb, Jr., 60, of Lumberton, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008, at Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City.

Reverend Keith Royal of Winfree Baptist Church will officiate.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Emmett was born October 13, 1947 in Florien, LA, to Emmett Sr. and Edna Strebeck Cobb. Emmett served in the US Army and was a truck driver for Tri City Welding.

He was an avid hunter, he loved the outdoors and was a member of the Plantation Hunting Club.

He is survived by his wife Agnes Walker, son Chuck Cobb and wife Charlotte of Orange, daughter, Taryn Calvert and husband Jason of Bridge City, grandchildren, CJ Cobb, Joshua Cobb, Abbey Cobb, Breanne Calvert and Seth Calvert.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Ashworth, Michael Franklin, Paul Burke, Phillip Burke, CJ Cobb, Michael Dewees and Donnie Dewees.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Cobb and Seth Calvert.

Agnes, Chuck, Taryn and family It was my pleasure to call my Mr. Emmett my Friend he was a very fine, caring and considerate person.
