Esker Joseph Sawyer, Jr., 75, of Lumberton, passed away on July 6, 2020, in Beaumont.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Born in Wareham, Massachusetts, on November 28, 1944, he was the son of Esker J. Sawyer and Alyne Sawyer. Esker worked for the railroad for over 20 years and as a Registered Nurse as well as proudly serving his country in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his children, Esker J. Sawyer III and his wife Rhonda of Lumberton, Jason B. Sawyer and his wife Cinda, Clint D. Sawyer, and Alaina L. Little and her husband Matt; grandchildren, Brittany N Coker, Jaden T. Sawyer, Logan M. Sawyer, Sierra K. Sawyer, Marissa B. Sawyer, Slade D. Sawyer and Max O. Little; as well as 5 great grandchildren.
