Esmeralda Bautista Chavez, 59, of Beaumont, passed away on September 9, 2015, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

She was born in Weslaco, Texas, on April 3, 1956, to Silverio Bautista, Sr. and Clemencia Perez Bautista.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Beaumont. Officiating will be Father Ross. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., with a rosary at 6:00 p.m., recited by Deacon George Wood, Friday, September 11, 2015 at Claybar Funeral Home in Beaumont.

Mrs. Chavez was preceded in death by her mother and her brother, Silverio Bautista, Jr. She is survived by her husband, James Chavez; children, Lauren Ashley Chavez and Richard Alan Chavez; grandchildren, Jaylene Ashley Loza and Xavier Loza; father, Silverio Bautista, Sr.; sister, Gloria Morin and brother Edward Bautista.
