Essie met Carl D Creel through her brother Frank in 1951. They were married on September 23, 1952 in Lufkin, Texas. Together they raised 5 children: Nell Clark, Rnell Bryant, Elizabeth Brock, Bruce Creel and David Creel.

Essie is survived by Sister Effie Buesing, Daughters Nell Clark, Rnell Bryant, and Elizabeth (Donald) Brock, Sons Bruce (Lee) Creel and David (Karen) Creel, 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband Carl, sister Dessie Rashal, brother Frank Rashal and sister-in-law Annie Rashal, sons-in-law Dee Clark and James Bryant, grandson Jonathan Bryant, 2 nephews and 2 great-nieces.

The family has entrusted Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home, 1155 N. 11th Beaumont, TX 77702 with the arrangements. A visitation and funeral service is scheduled for February 23, 2019. Visitation at 10AM followed by the funeral service at 11AM. Interment will follow at Village Mills Cemetery located on Highway 69 in Village Mills, TX. Pastor Todd Morrissey will officiate.
