Esther Sifuentes Castro, of Beaumont, 105 years loved, passed on May 9, 2025,

Born in San Pedro, Coahuila, Mexico, on February 6, 1920, she was the daughter of Refugio Sifuentes and Patricia Vela. Esther married her beloved husband, Robert, on May 10, 1942. Robert served in World War II. Together, they shared a strong love of Christ and His teachings and a life filled with love, devotion, respect, and laughter. A devoted homemaker, Esther spent her life taking care of her family, many who were considered her extended family, as well as her Catholic community. She was known for her delicious homemade tortillas, which brought people together and filled their hearts and homes with warmth. Cooking was not just a hobby for Esther; it was her passion and a way to show love for family, friends and her church family. She was a cherished member of Cristo Rey Catholic Church from the time it was founded and later she faithfully attended Mass at St. Anne Catholic Church for many years. She actively participated in the Legion of Mary, the Altar Society, De Colores, and many other Catholic organizations and events, demonstrating her commitment to her faith and community. Her kindness extended beyond her family, as she took care of and helped raise dozens of children, treating and caring for them as her own. Esther's presence, kindness, love, generosity, and sense of humor will be missed tremendously by all who were so blessed to have not only known her but also have her as a part of their lives.

Esther was blessed with excellent care at home by the loving, professional, and compassionate staff of Best Hospice Care of Beaumont.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Refugio Sifuentes and Patricia Vela; her husband, Robert Castro, Sr.; nine siblings; great grandson Thomas Lee Spoonmore; and great-great grandson Dylan Kade Spoonmore.

Gods Peace To Her Soul, and Comfort to Her Family and Friends.🛐🛐 What a Wonderfull long life She lived ! A Beautiful and Spiritual Eternal life she will live forever and ever With Her Lord And Savior Jesus Christ.🛐💟🛐 Mrs. Castro Was a lovely lady, great neighbor. Very Sweet to us little , out of control kids. Between Dogs barking and drums, banging all night, she some how got her sleep in.🛐🛐 She was always willing to share sugar, butter, flour to our mother. As her children got older and started moving out, She would cook the same amount of food! Which she would share her delicious Food with Us. She was very kind to all of us, she was always smiling . I’ve known Mrs. Castro, all of my life . Her lovely children have been good friends to the Robichau’s family, for 70+ years. Becky, Robert, Tobey, Bert, and all the grandchildren. Our deepest Condolences.☦️☦️ Rhonda , Rodney
