Ethel Hemmenway Marie, 77, lifelong resident of Vidor passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at her home.

Services will be Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Assembly of God in Vidor. Interment will follow at Marie Cemetery in Vidor.

Visitation will be Friday from 6-9 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.

Mrs. Marie was born December 25, 1931 in Vidor to William Henry and Mary Stella Adeway Hemmenway. She was a homemaker who loved her family dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lorenzo Vincent Marie, Jr.; son, Lorenzo Vincent Marie, III; brothers, Frances Fred Hemmenway, Olin Henry Hemmenway, Travis Hemmenway and Dan Hemmenway; sisters, Mary Auerlia Granger and Letha Ann Wagner and 2 great grandchildren.

She is survived by all of her children, Kathryn Anthony, Sterling Marie, Sr., Robert Marie, Sr., Russell Marie, Betty Smith, Olen Marie all of Vidor and Martha Hornback of Dallas. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and her sister, Myrtle Merendino.
