I learned Evelyn was my sister when I was 35. She surely did look and act like family. We developed a loving relationship, and I will miss her very much. I hope to have a relationship with her family. The airplane situation made it impossible for me to attend her funeral. I had been hoping to come to visit sometime in 2023. Love to all her family.

This is Philip Brooks. I met Evelyn and her girls when we all went to Robbins Memorial Presbyterian Church in Beaumont years ago. I think I remember playing the organ for one of the girls’ wedding. I last got to catch up with Evelyn when we were both in heart rehab at Baptist Hospital in 2016. Since then, we have been friends on Facebook. I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of Evelyn. She was a great lady and I loved having her in my life.

Evelyn was such a sweetheart. So spunky and full of fun. I haven’t seen her in years but we kept up on Facebook and through emails and messenger. She will be missed.

Evelyn was full of life. I enjoyed being around her, she was a lovely special lady to me. She made me feel special with her direct interest in me. She was kind in her remarks to me. We both enjoyed complimenting each other’s children & grandchildren in person & on Facebook. I loved her, will miss her. I look forward to seeing her in Heaven someday.
