Evelyn Mae Quinn, 83, of Winnie passed away at the Arboretum of Winnie on December 11, 2013.

She was born December 1, 1930 in Woodbury, New Jersey to the late, Edward and Pearl Allen and was a longtime resident of Beaumont.

Mrs. Quinn was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and proudly served as a volunteer at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth for 17 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Quinn and sister, Mary Jane Layton.

She is survived by one sister, Shirley Crass of New Jersey; several nieces, nephews, and her close friend, Ruth Sherman of Beaumont.

Private interment will be in Haven of Rest Cemetery.

Evelyn was a faithful volunteer at St. E's. She was there before I served as director and we had a great friendship. I remember one Thanksgiving that Evelyn and Jill, her neighbor, spent with my family. She regaled us with tales about all the countries where she had lived or traveled.
