Ferne Audrey Toney Savoy, 91, of Orange, went to be with her Lord Saturday, August 23, 2008.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 25, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Bell of Calvary Baptist Church in Port Acres.

Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday at Claybar Funeral Home.

Ferne was born on December 12, 1916, in Edgerly, LA. She was the daughter of D.M. "Mit" and Bessie Robison Toney. She was a member of Cove Baptist Church since 1945.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry "Cush" Savoy; daughter, Gayle Maureen Savoy; brother, Curtis Toney; and sister, Vera Faye "Snooks" Sanders.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Wynne Edith "Punk" Winner; sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Louise Savoy of Bridge City, Gary and Debbie Savoy of Canyon Lake, TX, and Scotty and Connie Savoy of Little Cypress; daughters, Pamela Becker of Orange and Marsha Ellender of Sulphur, LA; grandchildren, Brien Savoy, Bruce Mosier, Shelley Mosier, Brandy Doster, Stacey Ripple, Kelly Savoy, Shelley Cummings, Connie Marie Dorrell, Angel Nations, Katie Becker, Wynona Becker, Danna Beniot, Amy Berwick, and Brad Ellender; 29 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, Monica McCoy and husband Randy, Mike Winner and wife Bonnie, Susan Harding, Sandy Harris and husband Robert, Barbara Rankin and husband Junior, Kathi Parr, Keith Sanders and wife Becky, Toby Toney and wife Susan, and their families. She will also be missed by other relatives, friends, and church family.
