Graveside Services for Flora Nell "Flossie" Duhon, 79, of Beaumont will be held at Magnolia Cemetery on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 3-5:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
Flossie was born December 19, 1928 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Sidney J. and Violet McCormick Sparks and passed away July 24, 2008 at her residence in Beaumont. She was also preceded in death by her brother Melvin. She retired as an Accounting Clerk from Beaumont Medical Surgical Hospital MASH and had resided in Beaumont most of her life.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Tuesday Bible Study Group. Flossie was a championship bowler, acquiring many medals as an active league participant. Gardening was her hobby and passion for many years.
She is survived by her niece, Jean Marie Sparks and family of Anahuac; nephew, Jerry Sparks and family of Stowell; special friends, Marian Godwin, Mamie Beck, Nell Clark and Helen Duhon all of Beaumont.
