Flora Glynn Durham Gisclar, 82, of Bridge City, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010, in San Antonio.

Flora Glynn was universally known as "Ms. Personality" and was regarded by all who knew her as someone who speaks her mind. No one ever wondered what she meant when she had a conversation with you. Her words were straight and true. She was a natural beauty, known by all as "Pretty Woman". Till the end of time, there never will be a better daughter, sister, friend, wife, or mother.

Flora Glynn graduated from Orange High School in May of 1945, attended Port Arthur Business College earning a Stenographer Diploma. She married her high school sweetheart, Jack Robert Gisclar, August 24, 1946. Flora Glynn was a life-time member of the Woodbine Rebekahs in the I00F Temple and was the Noble Grand for many years. Flora Glynn and Jack were married for 60 years and raised 5 children before Jack preceded her in death in 2007.

Mrs. Gisclar was also preceded in death by her son, Kenner Gisclar, and parents, O.J. and Elizabeth Durham.

She is survived by her sons, Jackie Glenn Gisclar, Curney Lynn Gisclar, Mark Devane Gisclar; daughter, Dariah Ann Gisclar; sister, Dorothy Ann Marks and her husband, Shirley; sister-in-law Edith Gisclar Jones; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010, in the chapel of Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jackie Gisclar, Mark Gisclar, Curney Gisclar, Jr., Shirley Marks, Dean Marks and David Marks. Honorary pallbearers will be Curney Gisclar, Sr., John Paul Durham, Ted Pennington and Jesse Martinez.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
