Flossie M. Steglich

Flossie M. Steglich, 95, of Orange, died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at Loving Care, a private care facility in Orange.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orange, with Monsignor Kenneth Greig and Father Joseph P. Daleo serving as con-celebrants.

The Rite of Committal will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m., both at the funeral home.

Born September 19, 1912, in Broussard, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Leonce and Edma Albarado Broussard.

Mrs. Steglich was a homemaker and former long time resident of Port Arthur, where she was a faithful parishionerat St. Mary Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Steglich; and brothers, Clifton and Stanford Broussard, Mrs. Steglich is survived by her daughter, Sister Sharon Steglich of Orange; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Morris Baker of Bridge City; grandchildren, Michael Baker and his wife, Karen, Bobby Baker and his wife, Shelly; and great-grandchildren, Madison, Garrett, Cade, McKenna, Cale and Maggie Baker.

Serving and pallbearers will be Kirk Klages, Letty Broussard, Mike Baker, Bobby Baker, Garrett Baker and Jim Baker.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Dominican Sisters, 6501 Almeda Rd., Houston, Texas 77021-2095 or to St. Mary's Catholic School, 2600 Bob Hall Rd, Orange, Texas 77630

The family wishes to acknowledge with grateful appreciation, the love and care provided to Mrs. Steglich by the staff of Loving Care.
