Forrest Watson, 84, of Buna, died Wednesday, August, 2009, in Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2009, at the Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend David Burkheimer of Community Church.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at Guedry Cemetery in Batson, Texas.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Forrest was born on June 27, 1925, in Batson, Texas. He was the son of William Watson and Appa Jones Watson. Forrest was a member of Community Church, and worked at DuPont for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Bill Watson and Tommy May.

Forrest is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dannie Watson; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Pat Watson of Sunset, Louisiana; son, John R. Watson of Lumberton; daughter and son-in-law, Bridget and Drake O'Bannion of Lumberton; seven grandchildren, Tom, Beth, David, Taylor and Wesley Watson and Michele and Todd Cross.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The American Macular Degeneration Foundation or Alzheimer's Association.
