Frances T. Bullard

Frances T. ?Fran? Bullard, 86, of Bridge City, passed away, Monday, October 8, 2007 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend David Green of St. Paul?s United Methodist Church and Dr. Jim Williams of Morning Star Church in Port Neches.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

A visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

Frances was born May 24, 1921 in Dawson, Minnesota. She is the daughter of Randolph and Bertha Thoreson Thompson. Mrs. Bullard was the principal?s secretary at Hatton Elementary for 21 years. She was also a member and volunteered at St. Paul Methodist Church, formerGrey Lady Volunteer at Orange Memorial Hospital. Frances also tutored at Hatton Elementary and enjoyed painting and crossword puzzles. Mrs. Bullard was a loving wife, mother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anne Broussard, three sisters and two brothers.

Frances is survived by her husband Robert Bullard of Bridge City, her daughter, Mary Bullard of Seattle, WA and her son-in-law, Windell Broussard and wife Kim.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Matthews, George Ragsdale, Keith Stephenson, R.C. Russell, George Stone and Windell Broussard.

Should friend?s desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas or St. Paul United Methodist Church.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice of Texas and her private caregivers, Monty, Nicole and Beverly.

The world lost a beautiful lady and artist when Aunt Fran passed away. I feel so lucky to have one of her paintings. I think it is one she had given Maxine, and I now have it. Aunt Fran was truly a lovely lady! Always a positive, caring person who only spoke kindly, with a contagious smile and attitude. I can only hope I enter into my "senior" years with as positive an attitude and outlook to the future. I'm certain she was ##imported-begin##Kim Zechmann##imported-end##
