Francisca Gomes Brewer, 87, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on August 26,2024.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Memory Gardens in Nederland, Texas.
Born in Recife, Brazil, South America, on April 10, 1937, she was the daughter of Miguel Feitosa da Silva and Maria Jose Feitosa da Silva. Our mother was very spiritual, independent, with an outgoing personality, and was never afraid to speak her mind. She absolutely adored and cared for her flower garden daily. She had an enormous love for roses and blooming flowers. During her downtime at home, she loved to play her guitar, and her piano while singing. She loved cooking for her family, especially during the holidays. Our entire family will miss her potato salad, and her beans with okra. She loved adding her Brazilian touch to all the food she cooked. She sacrificed a lot for her family, and never regretted it. She never failed to make us laugh, especially when she would always tell us she could cook better than all the restaurants we ate at. We loved how she never hesitated to let anyone she had met know about her family. There was never anyone she didn't meet, that didn't adore her firecracker personality.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Miguel Feitosa da Silva and Maria Jose Feitosa da Silva; and her daughter, Maria.
She is survived by her children, Nena, Suse, Martha, and Steve; her 9 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
