Freddie Dunlap ?Gramps? 64, of Bridge City, retired to Crystal Beach, died Sunday, December 23, 2007, in Houston.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2007, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City. Reverend Jim McClintock will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m.

Freddie was born October 12, 1943, in Beaumont, the son of Frank and Helen Alford Dunlap.

He was a supervisor at Livingston Gulfport Shipbuilding and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also served as an Auxiliary Member of Legion of Mary and a former Volunteer Bridge City Fireman.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen ?Mingaw? Dunlap and father, Frank Dunlap.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Dunlap of Crystal Beach; daughters Shawna Dunlap Gauthier and husband Michael of Bridge City and Kimberly Ann Dunlap of San Augustine; proud Gramps of, Michael Shawn Gauthier and Brandon Scott Gauthier; sister, Lois Dorman of Houston, brother, Dennis Dunlap of Groves; and very good lifelong friends Vance and Cyndie Chauvin.

Serving as pallbearers will be Vance Chauvin, Nathan Foreman, Michael Shawn Gauthier, Brandon Scott Gauthier, Jerald Smith and Todd Guyote. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael E. Gauthier.

Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke?s Heart Foundation.

Freddie was, is and will always be a wonderful person who could always make everyone smile. I am thankful I got the chance to know him.
