Frieda Ann Benedict, beloved mother and grandmother, 45, of Orange, died Saturday, January 22, 2011.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory in Bridge City.

Born in Yokata Air Force Base, Japan, on June 21, 1965, Frieda was the daughter of Thomas Owen Benedict, Sr. and Elfrieda Stewart Benedict.

Preceded in death by her mother, Frieda is survived by her parents, Thomas Benedict, Sr. and his wife, Hazel; daughter, Nicole Renea Trero and her husband, Sam; son, John Douglas Dyer; and daughter, Shanequa Ann Clark.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tristin Lane Trero, Victoria Chanel Trero and Kason Caelob Ingram; and brother, Thomas Benedict, Jr.
