Gar was such a big part of my early life. I met Gar at the Timbers Apartments when I was 17. My father lived there. As I grew older a friendship group of people was formed by living in a in a small apartment complex. I went to Gars lake house many times and out to New Braunfels with the crew that lived at the Timbers. Many lifelong bonds were formed at the Timbers and when his dear friend Danny and I married and had 2 children he was both of their godfathers. Dan loved Gar and stayed friends with him the rest of his life. He made the absolute best fajitas, had the greenest thumb I’ve ever seen and welcomed all to his homes. You will be missed sweet Gar.
