George W. Broer, 75, of Orange, passed away, Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Beaumont Nursing Rehabilitation in Beaumont.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 14, 2008, at Cove Baptist Church in Orange. Reverend Jeff Bell will officiate.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Following the funeral service cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.

George was born July 27, 1932, in Port Jefferson, NY, to George Lewis and Matilda Kus Broer.

George was a retired machinist for CBH-Houston Ship Repair and a U.S. Army Veteran, he served during the Korean War. He was a member of Cove Baptist Church in Orange.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara June Broer of Orange, his children, Jeannie McMurry of Grant Falls, NC, Robert Broer of Vinton, LA, Mary Ann Broer of Beuford, GA, John Broer and James Broer both of Cummings, GA and Christina Lemmond of Bridge City; fifteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and brother, Bill Broer of North Port, NY.
