Glen McGuire, 77, died on December 8, 2008, at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Claybar Funeral Home's temporary location at 1408 W Park in Orange. Mr. Glen Dry, founder of the Man to Man Ministry, will officiate, assisted by Reverend David Turner of Little Cypress Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Dougharty Memorial Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. McGuire was born on October 31, 1931, in Cooper, TX to Gerald Allen McGuire and Virgie Beatrice Morris McGuire. He retired from Entergy after 43 years as a lineman and trouble shooter. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Korea. He was a member of the Little Cypress Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge of Orange.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Karen Lynn McGuire; and sister, Wanda Ferguson.

Glen is survived by his wife, Nelda Dougharty McGuire and his extended family; Roy and Vel Williams and their daughter, Brandy and her husband, Jason Hinson and their sons, Justin and Cole. He also leaves a sister, Geraldine Shank.

Pallbearers will be Marshall Dougharty, Sam Dougharty, Justin Dougharty, Jason Hinson, Terrence O'Sullivan and Shannon Kelley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Sweat, Jeff Martin, Joe Dougharty, Pete Ferguson, and Audley Dry.
