Glenda Lou Vacker, 88, of Beaumont, passed away on December 29, 2022, at her home in Beaumont, Texas.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas.

Born in Handley, Texas, on October 27, 1934, she was the daughter of Charles Clifford Routt and Lola Estelle Kee Routt. Glenda was known for being a sweet woman who loved her grandchildren. In her free time, Glenda enjoyed working in her yard and caring for her flowers, her favorites being her Impatiens and Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow plants. She always looked forward to going out with her lunch group made up of her work friends. Glenda was wonderful woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Vacker; her son, Robert White; her parents, Clifford and Lola Routt; and her sister, Beverly Johnson.

She is survived by her children, Jerry Don Jackson and wife, Michele, and Carol Ann Hill and husband, Bruce; her stepchildren, Barry Vacker, and Lynn Vacker and wife, Mary; her grandchildren, Kealey Jackson, Skylor Jackson, Brandon Hill, Jason Hill, Lauren Vacker, Justin Vacker, Justin White, and Rachel White; her five great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving friends and family.
