IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dianne
Comte
September 12, 1947 – February 18, 2026
Gloria Dianne Comte, a beloved homemaker and devoted member of her community, passed gently into the loving arms of Jesus on February 18, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas. Born on September 12, 1947, in Beaumont, Dianne was a radiant presence in the lives of all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on her family, friends, and faith community.
Dianne was married to her loving husband, Thomas Comte, for an extraordinary 58 years and 9 months. Together, they built a life filled with deep love and shared values. Dianne was the proud mother of four daughters, Anita Dickens and her husband James, Stephanie Cox and her husband Douglas, Rachel Rivers and her husband Daniel, and Crystal Comte. Her heart swelled with joy as she embraced the role of grandmother. Cherishing each moment spent with her grandchildren: Aubrey, Natalie, Landon, Caleb and wife Faithann, Shayla, Jaelyn, Noelle, and Naomi. She was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Stella Cox.
Dianne's passion for her faith was evident in her dedicated involvement at Calvary Tabernacle, formerly Lamar Pentecostal Church, where she served for over fifty years. Her commitment to the church manifested through various roles, including teaching Sunday school, serving as choir director and youth leader, being an outreach minister, and participating in nursing home ministry. Her gift of music accompanied her faith; she played the accordion during services and was known for her beautiful voice as a praise and worship soloist. Described as a "Soul Winner," Dianne loved reaching out to others, sharing a message of hope and compassion.
A graduate of high school, Dianne briefly attended Lamar College before marrying, and though her career path largely centered on her family, she also contributed to her community by substitute teaching and working for the Beaumont Independent School District. Dianne's warmth and sincere interest in people meant she never met a stranger. She was deeply loved and revered by many.
Dianne is survived by her loving husband, their four daughters, and an adoring cadre of grandchildren, alongside her sisters, Norma Broussard and her husband Gary, and Darlene Koch, and her brother, Mark Church. The family will carry forward her legacy of love, faith, and kindness, remembering her as a guiding light in their lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Mary Gloria Church, as well as her in-laws, Lee and Dorothy Comte.
The family invites all who knew and loved Dianne to pay their respects during the visitation at LaBrie Claybar Funeral Service in Beaumont on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at Gospel Tabernacle 7880 Washington Blvd, Beaumont, TX 77707, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
