Grace Farnie Brown was called to heaven on September 6, 2008. She was born November 24, 1935 in Beaumont, Texas to Peter Farnie and Beatrice Chiuminetta Farnie.

She is survived by her son, Johnny Smith of Vidor; her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Mike Hebert of LaPorte; grandchildren, Chad and Ashley Smith of Baytown, Amber and Kirk Blanchard of Fannett, Crystal and Adam Mooney, Brittney Hebert and Jimmy Hebert, all of LaPorte.

She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Nathan Mooney, Luke Smith, and Landon Mooney; sisters and brothers-in law, Margaret and Jerry Melancon of Vidor, JoAnn and Don Williams; brother and sister-in-law, Pete and Judy Farnie of Kirbyville and many other family members.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
