Grace Marie Dupree Burton, 72, of Orange, died Friday, May 15, 2009, at Harbor Hospital in Orange.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2009, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Joseph P. Daleo.
Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 3:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday and a rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., both at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Grace was born in Bijou Echo, Louisiana on November 14, 1936. She was the daughter of Isaac and Dorothy Deshautel Dupree.
She was preceded in death by her father, Isaac Dupree. Grace is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Burton of Orange; mother, Dorothy Deshautel Dupree; son, Michael Swope and his wife, Shurla of Orange; daughters, Stephanie Bingham and her husband Paul of Vinton, LA, Laura McHugh of Sulphur, LA, Dana Swope of Dallas, Mandy Hernandez and her husband Rene of Sulphur, LA, Priscilla and David LaBelle, Melody and Rob Sievert, Ronnie and Wendy Burton, Vance Burton, Karen and George Whitbread and Bruce Manson all of Michigan; sisters, Sharon Moran and her husband Kevin of Irving, TX, Charmaine Campbell and her husband Dan of Orange, and Angela Dougharty and her husband Larry of Bay City; brothers, Ron Dupree of Orange, Mark Dupree and his wife Kari of Dallas, TX; 23 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Levi McHugh, Antonio Hernandez, Jacob Bingham, James Bingham, Paul Blackburn and David LeBelle, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Bingham and Rene Hernandez.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Baptist Hospitals of Orange and Beaumont; Dr. Margolis, Dr. Arfeen and the nursing staff of Harbor Hospice in Orange for their continual care for their mother, sister, daughter and wife.
