It is with great sadness that the family of Gustavo Torres, Sr. announces his passing.

Gustavo Torres, Sr., 66, of Beaumont, passed away on December 18, 2021, in the comfort of his home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Thursday, December 23rd, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont. Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Beaumont.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00pm, Wednesday, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins in Beaumont.

Gustavo was born in Michoacan, Mexico on August 21, 1955, to Alfonso Torres and Juana Ayala. Gustavo was a kind and caring man who loved his family more than anything. He was always willing to help others without hesitation. During his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and cooking for his family. He was sole proprietor to Torres Lawn Service for over 30 years. Gustavo will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso Torres and Juana Ayala; and his brothers Alfonso and Gabriel.

He is survived by his wife, Leticia Torres of Beaumont; his children, Gus Torres and wife Leslie of Baytown, Vanessa Spears of Beaumont, Juanita Hildebrand and husband Damon of Virginia, Rene Torres and wife Gabriela of Mexico, Lucila Torres and husband Juan of Mexico and Julie Ann Corona and husband Cesar of Beaumont; he has fifteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and his siblings Audelio, Camerina, Cecilia, Elias, Graciela, Hermelinda, Humberto, Irma, and Silbiano.
