G. W. Hyland, 79, of Bridge City, died, Monday, August 20, 2007, at Bayshore Medical Center.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 23, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Mr. Hyland was born January 5, 1928, in Sour Lake to George Hyland, Sr. and Inez Jones Hyland.

Mr. Hyland was preceded in death by his wife Bettye and his parents.

He is survived by his sons, George Hyland and wife Julie of South Padre Island and Michael P. Hyland and wife Trudi of Deer Park; grandchildren, Sean Hyland, Amanda Hyland, Brent Shaw, Matt Kleifgen and Jessica Kovalsky; great grandchild Antares Porter.
