Hallie Mae Ward Holbrook

Hallie Mae Ward Holbrook, 88, Vidor, passed away, October 30, 2007, at her residence.

Funeral service will be 2:00, Thursday, November 1, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Holbrook was born October 19, 1919, in Decatur, AL, the daughter of Irving Smith and Emma Sewell.

Hallie was a homemaker, dental assistant in Alabama, had worked as a waitress at The Tower Restaurant, and as a manager of National Trailer Convoy. She was a member of the Texas Mobile Home Association and the Orange Bowling League. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, JimWillis and O.J. Ward, son Johnny Willis, grandson, Travis Willis and daughter in law, LaFaun Willis.

She is survived by her husband Roy Holbrook of Vidor; son, James Willis of Vidor; grandchildren, Karen Blanchard and husband Billy of Vidor, David Willis and wife Wendy of Arkansas, Ward Willis and wife Dawn of Ohio; great grandchildren, B. J. Blanchard, Aaron Willis, Josh Willis, Sean Willis, Hallie Willis, Jesica Willis, Melanie Willis and Alexia Willis; and lifelong friends, Maxine Thames and Freddie Yust.

Grandma was a very special person and she deserved the best in life and after. She will be missed dearly by everyone who ever knew her.
