Harry HodgeIII

Funeral services for Harry Hodge III, 55, of Beaumont, will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sabine Tabernacle. Rev. Jim Boykin will conduct the service with opening remarks by Rev. Clarence Day. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive guests on Friday between 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.

Mr. Hodge was born December 17, 1951, in Beaumont to Billie Craig Hodge and Harry H. Hodge, Jr. and died in Galveston of a heart attack on December 3, 2007.

Harry graduated from French High School and then from Lamar University with a degree in biology and chemistry. In 1975, he married Kay McCullough and moved to Houston to continue his education at the University of Houston. Mr. Hodge was a pharmaceutical representative for several years and later moved back to Beaumont where he was employed as a Laboratory Technician at Mobil Chemical. He took early medical retirement from Exxon Mobil and had been living in Galveston for the past two and one-half years.

Mr. Hodge was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kay, who died at the age 46 of a stroke eight years ago. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Harry Hodge, Jr. and Billie Hodge of Beaumont; sons, Mark and Paul Hodge of Beaumont; brother, Craig Hodge and wife Lois, as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and his beloved in-laws, George and Lillian McCullough.
