Hattie Sue Perry

Hattie Sue Perry, 80, of Little Cypress passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 surrounded by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange with Pastor David Turner of Little Cypress Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Perry was born July 18, 1931 in Grapeland to Walter Franklin and Docia Adair Neel. She was a homemaker, member of Little Cypress Baptist Church and was an Elvis fan. She enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, playing her handheld electronic games and most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wilbur Perry; parents, Walter Franklin and Docia Neel and sisters, Eramae Huff and Maudine Williams.

Hattie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Delores Perry of Little Cypress and Ronnie and Carol Perry of Sour Lake; grandchildren, B.J. Perry and wife, Angie, Lori Perry, Kaleana Burch and husband, Jason, Tisha Salter and husband, Chuck, and Shannon Collins and husband, Dalton. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; sisters, Nita Perkins, Betty Harmon and Iva Allen; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, friends and extended family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Glenn Harmon, Otha Neel Allen, Harold Williams Jr., Carey Don Stark, Boyd Perry and B.J. Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandchildren.
