Henrietta "Penny" Alice Young, 67, of Orange, passed away, Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at her residence.
Funeral service will 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 29, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Jerry Smith, pastor of Serenity Oaks Ministry will officiate. Interment will follow at Cormier Cemetery in Toomey-Starks, LA.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday at the funeral home.
Penny was born March 6, 1941, in Levenworth, KS, to Henry and Ethel Mae Sparks Wandmaker.
She was preceded in death by her son Wesley Young and her husband Jimmy Young.
She is survived by her children, Shiela Colvin of Jackson, MS, Joyce Young of Orange, Sandi Rogers of Austin and Kelly Young of Greencastle, IN; sisters and brother, Emma Patterson of Oxford, GA, John Wandmaker, of Kemp, Susan Kovatch of Orange, Linda Liles of Houston and heavenly sister, Jenny Walden; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Blake, Gilbert Lerma, Norman Martinez, Richard Glement, Richard "T-Nig" Vincent and Donald Nolan.
