Funeral services for Herbert Kinney Parker, Jr., 84, of Beaumont will be held Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel with Dr. James Blackwell, officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of friends and family will be on Wednesday, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Elbert Fregia, Timothy Fregia, Clayton Nugent, Joe Randall, Angie Busceme and Hobo Abel. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Greg Danna, Josh Nugent and Johnny Smaley.
Mr. Parker was born September 16, 1927 in Beaumont to the late, Herbert Kinney Parker Sr. and Buena Vista Handley Parker and passed away at his residence on August 5, 2012. A lifelong resident of Beaumont, Mr. Parker was a retired Lab Technician with Mobil Oil, a member of South Park Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Martha Parker; sister, Juanita Parker Corbin of Beaumont; nephews, Elbert Fregia, Timothy Fregia, Clayton Nugent and wife, Judy, Josh Nugent, Tony Marcantel, Louis Marcantel; and niece, Jenny Abel.
