Hiram Norsworthy, Jr., 86, of Orange, died Friday, August 21, 2009 in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Hiram was born on March 10, 1923 in Groveton, TX. He was the son of Hiram Norsworthy, Sr. and Pearl Hager Norsworthy. Hiram enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved his cat.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Hyman Norsworthy; first wife, Beverly Williams Norsworthy; and second wife, Patricia Abbott Norsworthy.

He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Deesie and

Sergio Garza and Ruth Withrow all of Orange; sons and daughters-in-law, Chester and Terri Navarre of Santa Fe, Tx and Randy and Julie Lane of Orange; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 nephews; one niece; sisters, Helen Haunschild, and Mildred Norsworthy; and friend, Norma Sorrels all of Orange.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, Josh Garza, Jacob Garza, John Withrow, Greg Withrow, and Brody Lane.
