Hollis Parker

Hollis Parker, 78 of Orange died Friday, March 7, 2008, at Christus St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Reverend Kevin Brown of First Baptist Church in Mauriceville will officiate.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Hollis was born June 23, 1929, in Call, TX, to Earl and Fritz Simmons Parker.

Hollis served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was an Instrument Planner for Dupont, where he was employed for 36 years. He was a member of the Amateur Ham Radio Association.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Parker, daughter, Renee Smith and husband Bruce of Mauriceville and son Rickie Parker andwife Terrie of Orange; grandchildren, Jeremy and Justin Smith, Summer and Dakota Parker, Drew and Dustin Daigle and Deidra Brown; great grandchild Cooper Smith and sister Frances Malone.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Mauriceville Building Fund.

Wow, what a loss to all of us here on earth. We truly loss one of the worlds good men, and he will be missed by all.
