1934 ∼ 2026

Imagene Hamilton Duggan

Imagene Duggan, 91, a lifelong resident of Beaumont, passed from this life to be with the Lord Sunday, August 23.

Imagene was born on September 11, 1934, to Albert J. Hamilton and Lee Ola Bean Hamilton, the youngest of five children. She graduated from Beaumont High School in 1953.

Imagene married Charley W. Davis in 1956, and they remained together until his passing in 1985. She later reconnected with childhood friend Doyle Duggan, and they were married Christmas Day 1999.

Imagene retired from Bell Fence after more than 20 years as office manager. She was a charter member of Christian Fellowship Worship Center in Beaumont.

She enjoyed traveling and cooking. No family holidays throughout the years were complete without her cornbread dressing. Most of all she loved being with family and friends, always looking for any way she could be a help to loved ones and anyone she came in contact with.

Along with her parents and husband Charley, Imagene was preceded in death by brothers A.J. (Jack) Hamilton, Jr., John J. Hamilton and Mack L. Hamilton and sister Lavern Jenkins.

Imagene is survived by husband Doyle, son and daughter-in-law Darwin and Tamarind Davis of Lumberton, grandchildren Paige Carroll (Brice) of Orange, Kenady Davis of Phoenix, Arizona and Reece Davis of Lumberton along with great grandsons Carson, Cason and Grayson Carroll. Also surviving is sister-in-law LaQuieta Hamilton of San Antonio.

The family would especially like to thank Retia and Jessyca Battestin and Tiffany Robicheaux for the wonderful care given to Imagene for the past few months.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Christian Fellowship Worship Center in Beaumont with Pastor Rick White officiating. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Imagene's name can be made to Christian Fellowship Worship Center in Beaumont and St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

"Many women have done noble deeds, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised. Give her the reward of her labor and let her work praise her at the city gates." Proverbs 31.
