Irene Elizabeth Deal, 84, of Orange, died Saturday, September 08, 2007, at Dubuis Hospital.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Danny Gilliam of McDonald Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:00 ? 9:00 p.m., Sunday, at Claybar Funeral Home.

Irene was born on March 21, 1923, in Newton. She was the daughter of Preston Eli and Ada Elizabeth King Simmons. She was a member of McDonald Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Deal is preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Deal and parents, Preston and Ada Simmons.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Rita Hazlewood and Randy of Pearland; sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce Deal and Judy of Orange and Paul Deal and Naomi of Marengo, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Ottis Simmons and Ruth of Buna; and sister and brother-in-law, Mellie Lazarine and Henry of Houston.

Serving as pallbearers are Mike Hazlewood, Todd Hazlewood, Phillip Deal, Justin Brister, Donnie Lummus, and John Allbritton.
