Irene Fisher Patterson, 84, of Orange, died Sunday, August 23, 2009, at Baptist Orange Hospital.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 29, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange with Chaplain Mike Eaves officiating.

Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn in West Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.

Irene was born in Russellville, Arkansas on May 20, 1925. She was the daughter of Henry Lee Hickman and Lola Lee Overton Hickman. Irene loved to work in her yard and go shopping.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harold Fisher; and daughter, Patsy Kuluris.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Patterson; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Cole Young of Houston, Dorothy and Thomas Dunn of Orange, Betty and Dwain Schichtel of Orange;son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Patricia Fisher of League City; daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Dennis Haley of Orange; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Henry Hickman, Jr. and John Hickman.

Serving as pallbearers will be Marvin Kibodeaux, Jr., Darrell Andrews, Gerald Andrews, Steven Lemaire, Phillip Cormier, Dwain Schichtel, Jr. and Christopher Fisher.
