Isaac Acosta

Isaac Acosta, 69, of Orange, died Thursday, February 4, 2010, in Houston.

A mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Officiating will be Reverend Joseph P. Daleo.

Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Isaac was born on June 10, 1940 in Sweetwater, TX. He was the son of Miguel and Petra Robledo Acosta. Isaac served in the U.S. Navy and later work at Orange Memorial Hospital in maintenance for 8 years. He then worked at DuPont as a Process Operator for 24 years. He liked landscaping and working in his yard. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Miguel and Petra Acosta.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Nora Acosta; son and daughter-in-law, Michael

and Amanda Acosta of Baton Rouge, LA; daughter, Elizabeth Acosta of Orange; grandchildren, Gage Acosta and Isaac Thomas Acosta; sisters, Lucy Resendez, Mary Lozano, Lupe Green, Julia Hinman, Connie Palmer, Jane Rodriguez, and Irene Tietz; and brother, Louis Acosta.

Serving as pallbearers are Anthony Acosta, Tony Acosta, Bobby Ferguson, John Acosta, Benjamin Acosta, Jonathan Acosta, Bill Tietz, and Steven Brown.

Honorary pallbearers and special friends are John Premeaux, Peter Thomas, Pat Cook, Larry Harris, Terry Clark, Jerome Dimas, Alfred Lopez, Kenny Schultz, Freddy Maldonado, John and Sylvia Owens, Marcil Raul, and Kenny Croak.
