Often wondered after 45 years how TMS SS J. D. Grantham been doing in life. He was my Company Commander in Navy Boot Camp in 1980. Upon graduation he said to me, “you know why I was thought on you? I knew you could take it, because you were raised right.” I never forgot his words. My condolences to his family in his passing. Here are a few photos that I kept all these years. Cindy~I am sooo very sorry to hear of your dads passing. Even though I never met him, from what I heard, he was a great man. May God give you peace and comfort...just lean on Him.

To uncle J.D. family, you are in our prayers and we extend our heartfelt sympathy with his passing. He was a special and kind person and we always enjoyed his presence. As my sister Ellen noted, Uncle J.D. was at my mom's bedside when she passed and I truly beleive God put him there to "stand in" for my dad, uncle Ralph as she passed into heaven. John 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. God bless you all. Steve Grantham and family

Deepest sympathy to all family members of uncle J. D. Heaven gets a little sweeter each time we lose one of our loved ones because knowing one day we will see them again for eternity. I share a sweet memory with you. On the day my mother passed away (uncle Ralph's wife), uncle J. D. was with us and it was such a comfort as if my own dad was with us. He was truly a kind man, thoughtful of others.

Heaven recieved a new beautiful soul, one of a great man whom was loved by so many. Papa you have always been my angel through out my whole life you have led me by the light of you kindness, warmed me with the kindness of your heart and protected me with your strength and wisdom. I know that you are still my angel, and you will always be here with me in the lessons you taught me in our time here together. I am so proud to call you my grandpa and I have been truly blessed to have all our great memories together. I promise I will be just as loving and caring to my grandchildren as you were to all of us. Thank you for being the man you were!!!!!! Until I see you again I love you so very much! Love you always, Victoria Bodle

To the family and friends of Joe Grantham, I extend my condolences. The Bible, at Isaiah 25:8, promises that "He (God) will swallow up death forever. The Bible further states, at Psalm 37:11, Joe has the prospect of living again right here on the earth where peace will be abundant. Those promises are not just a dream, but a sure hope for our future. For more information, click the following link, www.jw.org, select "Publications" and click the yellow "Bible Teach" book. Scroll and read the chapter "Real Hope for Our Loved Ones Who Have Died" along with your Bible. I hope the scriptures brings you and all that knew Joe, comfort now and in the days ahead as it has me.
