Jack Rose

Jack Rose, 62, of Bridge City, died Saturday, October 24, 2009, at St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City, with Father Steven Leger serving as celebrant.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Visitation will be 3-10 p.m. Tuesday at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. A Christian Wake service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, also at the funeral home.

Born on October 1, 1947, in Cocada, Minnesota, Mr. Rose was the son of Harlon and Beverly Sammons Rose. He was a locator for the SM&P Company and a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Rose is survived by his wife, Linda Rose of Bridge City; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Kara Rose of Santa Fe, Texas and grandchildren, Koral and Kagen Rose, both of Santa Fe.

Also surviving are his sisters, Beverly Hays of Coldwater, Mississippi, Carole Vernier of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Kathleen Harris Charles, Sherri Russell Bill, all of Highlands and brother Bill Rose Karen of Sunflower, Mississippi.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of your family. Linda, Jack was a one of a kind. I worked with him at sm&p for several years. He was a good friend and I will miss him greatly. I was fortunate to have met Jack at SM&P. He was a wonderful hardworking man. His love for his family and passion for his work knew no bounds. He will be missed. My thoughts are with Jack's family.
